Mariette Pais (60), nee D'Souza, wife of the late Philip M J Pais of M Pais & Sons, Maidan Road, Mangalore, mother of Keith/Tina and Carol, passed away on December 24. Funeral cortege leaves residence "Shanti", behind HP Petrol Pump, Lady Hill, Mangalore for the Church of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception, Urwa at 10-00 am on Sunday, December 26. The sudden and sad demise occurred after she collapsed in the church at Communion time at the Christmas eve mass around 8-45 pm on Friday and rushed to the hospital where she was declared dead around 10-00 pm.
