Sumith Jaydeep Saldanha (38), husband of Sheetal Maria D'Souza, father of Sarah Laurel Saldanha, son of Leena Saldanha and the late Charles Saldanha, son in-law of Alveera Fernandes and Raymond Ivan D'Souza, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026.

Mortal remains will be kept for public viewing on Wednesday, May 13 between 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm, funeral cortege leaves residence "Aeterna", near Grotto, Daddinahithlu, at 3.30 pm for Our Lady of Health Church, Shirva, followed by Mass.

So so sorry to hear of this. I worked with Sumith for almost 10 years in the middle east and considered him a true friend. He was someone I could talk to when times were hard and I tried to do the same for him. He was a respected colleague, a good guy and my friend. Rest in peace big man.
