Max Rasquinha (87), husband of Jess, father of Max / Christie and Allan / Leisa, grandfather of Luke, brother of Judy and Patrick, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026.

A memorial service will be held at 10.00 am on Wednesday, April 15 in St Jude’s Catholic Church, Allen.

Heartfelt condolences, dear Aunty Jess, Millon, Alan, Luke, and all the family, on the passing of Uncle Max. May the Lord grant him eternal rest. I had the rare honour of having him, and you, Aunty Jess, present at my priestly ordination at FRH Mangalore in December 2002. Uncle Max was a source of inspiration and encouragement during my final years of priestly formation, and I remain deeply grateful for the quiet strength he offered me in that phase of my life. My family, the Venur Pereiras, fondly remembers Uncle Max and the warmth he brought whenever he was among us. He had a special tenderness for Tejju bai, my Mom, and that affection was always felt and cherished. He was a man of wide vision and a generous heart. His deep interest in the AIMIT campus in Beeri and his broader contributions to education speak of someone who believed in building people and institutions for the long term. Uncle Max will be remembered for his kindness, his integrity, and the genuine warmth he extended to all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched with his wisdom and generosity. May his soul rest in peace.

We fondly remember Max when he first came to Alberta from S.Arabia and then followed by Jessy and the boys to Calgary. We established a beautiful friendship until the family moved to Texas.
