I remember Mrs. Pinto smiling, with her curly hair and wise words. She was always so welcoming to me, feeding me biryani and peach cobbler when I would come to visit. I see so much of her in my dear friend Natasha and I pray that she is at peace. I'm so very sorry.

Looking back now, I wish I had simply given her mine the moment she admired it. That thought stays with me, and I carry it with a sense of tender regret. Marie’s joy, warmth, and loving nature will never be forgotten. She will always hold a special place in my heart.
