Fr Denis D'Souza (91), son of the late Paul D'Souza and the late Mary Noronha, brother of the late Lucina BS, the late Ambrose D'Souza, the late Celestine D'Souza, the late Sr Saveria Bridgitine, Fr Valerian D'Souza, the late Henry D'Souza and Sr Celene BS, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025.

Funeral Mass and burial rites will be held on Monday, November 17 at 10.00 am in St Vincent Ferrer Church, Valencia, Mangalore.

The passing away of Fr. Dennis D’Souza, one of the senior priests of our Diocese, has brought great sorrow to all of us. He was a very spiritual and prayerful person. Wherever he served, he was loved and appreciated by the people as a dedicated priest. Many years ago, when he served in Bondel Parish, he took the initiative to build a new church. His decision to construct a modern-style church during those days was truly admirable. Even after his retirement, he continued to serve in whatever way he could. With his death, we have lost a senior and respected priest. We offer our heartfelt condolences to his elder brother, Fr. Valerian D’Souza, and all the family members. We also extend our sympathies to all the priests of our Mangalore Diocese. May God grant his soul eternal rest and peace.
