Agnes D'Souza (85), wife of the late Ignatius D'Souza, mother of Jacintha/Dennis, Peter/Rebecca, Judith/the late Richard, Joyce/Joseph, Patrick/Maria, Jovita/Thomas, Jennifer/Ravi and Jyothi/Melwyn, grandmother of Olivia/Ankit, Carol/Renny, Algar, Denver, Harrel/Rilma, Daryl/Reethika, Mayola, Rowena/Sheldon, Andrea, Meagen, Neil, Aditya, Nigel, Jaden, great grandmother of Ruth, Craig, Tessa and Zane, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025.

Mortal remains will be brought to St Sebastian Church, Bendur, Mangalore for public viewing at 2.30 pm on Sunday, October 19, followed by Mass at 3.15pm.

Today, I bid farewell to a truly remarkable woman — my dear aunt, my father’s beloved sister, and a guiding presence in my life. Her passing leaves a deep ache in my heart, but also a deep gratitude for the love, warmth, and wisdom she shared so freely. She was more than an aunt to me — she was a source of strength and inspiration. Much like Indira Gandhi or Margaret Thatcher, she possessed an unshakable resolve and courage, weathering every challenge life brought her with dignity and determination. Yet beneath that strength was a heart full of compassion, grace, and care for everyone around her. I was blessed to have seen her recently, to share a moment, and to express my love — not just for her, but for my wonderful cousins who carry her spirit and resilience forward. Her kindness, her toughness, and her gentle spirit will forever remain part of me. Though she has gone to rest, the bond we shared lives on — in memories, in love, and in the family she nurtured with such unwavering devotion. Rest in peace, dearest Aunt. You will always be remembered, always be loved, and always be missed. 💔
