Fr Dominic Savio Veigas OFMCap (89), passed away on May 21, 2025 in St Anne’s Friary, Jail Road, Mangalore.

He hails from Modankap (Bantwal) parish.

Mortal remains will be kept for public viewing at 3.00 pm on Friday, May 23 in St Anne’s Friary Chapel, Mangalore. Funeral Mass followed by funeral rites will be celebrated at 3:30 pm.

A wonderful priest. Humble humane loving caring and a silent do goodder was a persona of true capuchin priest. He has sincerely carried on his mission with zeal and without expecting praise where ever he worked, be it in Thumrikoppa in dharwad or holy family church brahmavar. and other placesbhe worked in his death a huge void is created whhich is difficult to fill. His large number of admirers will miss him. Its a graet loss to the capuchin congregation. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Rev. Fr. Dominic Veigas has served Holy Family R. C. Parish Brahmavar in late 1960's as Associate Pastor, in 1970's as Parish Priest for 7 years and in recent times for more than a decade. His dedicated service is highly acclaimed and will be remembered by our Parishioners and several other beneficiaries of his care. Fr. Dominic Veigas will be fondly remembered.
