Jawahar ('Joe') Saldanha (76), husband of Lulu and father of Debbie (+ Ashok Chadha) and Nina (+ Colin Colaco), passed away on August 16, 2007.

Funeral cortege leaves 'High Villa', Balmatta-Vas Lane for the Church of Our Lady of Miracles, Milagres, Mangalore at 4-15 pm on Friday, August 17.

Read with great regret the sad news about the demise of a dear friend. I have known Joe Saldanha for several decades. A highly respected gentleman with a caring and loving attitude towards all that he came in contact with. My most sincere sympathies to dear Lullu who I am sure is going through a trauma. I am very sad to hear of these news. I had kown Jawahar during my School days at St. Aloysius College though I seldom talked to him. We were in different divisions of the same SSLC class - he in "A" division and I, in "B". I was hoping to run into him this December at the Reunion of 1947 SSLC batch, but sadly it is too late for him. My sincere condolences to Lulu and the children.
