Sr M Claretta AC (83), nee Monica D’Sa, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023.
Mortal remains will be laid in St Agnes Convent Chapel, Bendore, Mangalore on Tuesday, March 14 from 1.30 pm onwards for public viewing. Funeral Mass will be at 3.30 pm followed by burial service at St Agnes Convent cemetery.

Sr M Claretta AC belongs to the Congregation of the Apostolic Carmel, Karnataka Province and was a great educationist, heading a number of schools belonging to the Apostolic Carmel, serving specially the poor children. She has rendered her dedicated services at Lourdes Convent, Jayanagar; St Joseph’s Convent, Kundapura; Carmel Convent, Haliyal; Carmel Convent, Gangolli; St Ann’s Convent, Mangaluru; Bal Yesu Nilaya, Maryhill; St Maria Goeretti Convent, Kemmannu; Presentation Convent, Maryhill; Stella Maris, Kotekar; Mary Immaculate, Bengaluru and St Joseph’s Convent, Mysore.
She hails from Pangala, Udupi district and is the daughter of the late Alex D'Sa and the late Pauline Quadros.
