YOGISH PALKE (60), proprietor of the renowned jewellery shop, Canara Jewellers, in the city, passed away at a private nursing home on Friday, August 27.
Yogish was the eldest son of Palke Baburaya Acharya. He served as managing trustee of Shri Kalikamba Vinayaka Temple and earlier as managing trustee of Katapady Shri Kalikamba Vishwakarmeshwara Temple. He had also one-time president of Bellampalli Vishakarma High School and honorary director of SK Goldsmiths' Cooperative Society.
He leaves behind wife, a son, two daughters and brother Dhananjaya Palke.
