The Lewis Family, NYC

On January 19, 2007, Moses Lewis(66 years old) (residence: New York) went home to be with the heavenly Father, his deceased parents Ignatius and Mary Lewis of Matpady and his deceased brother Gerald Lewis. Moses passed away in his dear sister Victoria Silveira’s house in Sastan. Moses is survived by his devoted wife, Gretta, his beloved children Jaikish, Jaiwish, JaiJai and Jaifi, his cherished sons-in-law Jeff Nolan and Ciro Giue and his precious grandchildren, Priya and Michael.

To all who knew him, Moses was the life of every party. He had a penchant for singing and dancing and was known for composing songs in his native Konkani. His generous spirit, wonderful sense of humor and zest for life always managed to light up a room.

Moses/Maijay: as a husband, a father, a brother, a brother in-law and a hodlo pi/hodlo mama, you will be missed dearly. We love you and we pray for your soul. May you fly to Heaven with a smile, flying high on eagle’s wings and may you sing joyfully FOREVER.

With love, from all your family in NY

“And He will raise you up on eagle’s wings, Bear you on the breathe of dawn, Make you to shine like the sun, And hold you in the palm of His Hand.”
