Mangalore : April 19. Jubilee Celebration of Fr Valerian D'Souza, Director, St Joseph Engineering College.

Rev. Fr Valerian D’Souza, founder director of the college, celebrated his sacerdotal silver jubilee in the campus on 18th April with a solemn high mass concelebrated with 6 co-jubilarians and 25 other priests. Fr Peter Paul, St Joseph’s Seminary, reached a meaningful homily. As the mass came to a close, there was thunder in the skies, with a sprinkling of rain, which we likened to showers of blessing.

Students, staff and parents joined a select group of benefactors, well-wishers and governing council members in applauding Fr Valerian D’Souza at a felicitation programme soon after mass. The Bishop, who presided, said he had chosen Fr Valerian for St Joseph’s right from the beginning as he knew his immense capacity for leadership and organization. Chief Guest Mr. Albert D’Souza, renowned educationist and industrialist from Mumbai lauded Fr D’Souza’s qualities and said because of his work, the college has the rare distinction of recognition for Ph.D., though it is only 6 years old.
