‘daijiworld weekly’ announces drawing contest to mark Children’s day 

 

‘daijiworld weekly’, the only English weekly of Coastal Karnataka has announced on-the-spot drawing contest in association with St Agnes College, Mangalore. The contest is open for school children in two categories, Junior Class 5 - 7, and Senior Class 8 – 10 within DK and Udupi districts. 

The contest will be held on November 6, at 9.30 hours at St Agnes College Auditorium. The results will be announced on the same day and prizes will be distributed after the competition. The contest has been sponsored by Lancy Constructions, the premier Engineers, Builders and Promoters of Mangalore.

A total prize amount of Rs 25,000 awaits the winners, which consists of three prizes in each category in addition to 20 consolation prizes. 

Entry forms are available in all the schools and in daijiworld offices in Mangalore and Udupi. Entry forms may also be requested through email by contacting Tel. 0824 4258372/4259372 or email: weekly@daijiworld.com

The entry forms should be stamped by the school management in prescribed format and should be submitted to daijiworld offices, personally or email or by post. Three entries from each school in each category will be accepted. The last date to receive the entry forms will be Oct 31, 2011. 

Each category will be given a specific theme prior to the contest.  While drawing sheets will be provided by the organizers, participants are requested to bring the required paints and other materials. The well known artists from the region will decide the results and the names of winners alongside their drawings will be published in both daijiword.com and daijiworld weekly.
