Paul Frederick Abreo (71), of Our Lady of Perpetual Help ward, Paraneer, Sampige, husband of Rose Precilla, father of Victor (Banangady, Sampige), Felix Vincy (Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia), John (Shantinagar, Moodbidri), Max (offshore Oman), Rita (Vashi, Mumbai), Austin (Mira Road, Mumbai), passed away in Fr Muller Hospital, Mangalore on January 25.
Funeral rites will be held in the Holy Spirit Church, Sampige, Moodbidri at 4-00 pm on Friday, January 27.
He had a brain haemorrhage while at Attur during St Lawrence feast. After first aid by Nitte PHC doctors, he had been rushed to Mangalore.
He belonged to Pidamale, Niddodi earlier. He was employed with Kores India Ltd Thane and was member of Niddodi Helpers' Association and Little Flower Association, both in Mumbai. He wrote under the pen-name 'Papre, Niddodi'.
His daughter-in-law Winnie Abreo was president of Mangalore taluk panchayat.
