Albert Alva (75), resident of Mission Compound, Udupi, husband of Ida, and father of Emilda / Elias, Godwin / Irene, Anand / Winnie, Pradeep / Usha, and Janet / Maxim, passed away on Wednesday, April 27 after a brief illness.
Funeral cortege leaves residence at Mission Compound at 3.30 pm on Thursday, April 28 for the Church of the Mother of Sorrows, Udupi for Mass at 4.00 pm followed by burial. Phone +91 820 2523673
Alva belonged to the well-known Alva Family of Pangala. He was the second son of the late Lazarus and the late Magdaline Alva Pangala (Shankerpura) parish.
Albert Alva served in the Navy for about 10 years. He worked in the Qatar Petroleum Company in Doha Qatar and Petroleum Development (Oman) for 25 years in high posts. He helped many young men of our community to get jobs in those companies.
He was also involved in transport business in Mumbai and Udupi. Until his death, he resided in the Mission Compound for the last 25 years.
He is also survived by four brothers and three sisters and a large number of relatives.
