Louis Monteiro (81), husband of Lilla Monteiro, son of the late Monthu & the late Mary Monteiro, father of Anil / Lollett, Ajith / Pramila and Asha / Herald, brother of Henry, Michael & the late Cyril, grandfather of Alyra, Alric, Kevon, Teesha, Payton & Raylon, uncle of Prashanth / Lovelita, Pramila / Rohan & Carol / Carl, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2011.

He was the former Zilla Panchayat member and former President of Ullal Town Panchayat. As a Panchayat member he has served as the chairman of the Local Education Committee. He was the former secretary of district congress party as well as Ullal Block Congress party.

Mortal remains will be brought to St Vincent Ferrer Church, Valencia, Mangalore on Wednesday, August 17 at 3.00 pm. Public homage between 3.00 pm and 4.00 pm followed by Mass at 4.00 pm.
