FR LOUIS FERNANDES SJ (71), originally from Moodubelle, later a priest in Dharwad, passed away in the Mount Joseph Provincial House at Bangalore on March 5. He had served in the Society of Jesus for 50 years. For about 40 years, he had served in Mangalore, Moodubelle, Ranchi, Dharwad and other places.
ANGELINE LEWIS (85), nee Coelho, of BC Road, Modankap, Bantwal, wife of the late Sylvester Lewis of Kemmannu, sister of Carmine Coelho, passed away on March 6. Funeral cortege leaves Lourdes House for the Church of Infant Jesus, Modankap, Bantwal, at 10-00 am on Monday, March 7.
EDWIN CARVALHO (85), formerly of Kundapur, Gangolli and Trasi parishes, husband of the late Basilia, father of Fr Pratap Naik SJ (Thomas Stephens Konkani Kendr, Miramar, Goa), Genevieve (Mumbai), Valerian (Bangalore), Florine (Loreto), John (Pune), and brother of Sherry (Kundapur), Jossy (Bondel), Claude (Canada), Jerry and Franky (Mumbai), passed away in Pune on March 6. Funeral will be held at Vakola, Mumbai on March 7.
