S S Prabhu (Sathu Prabhu or Sylvester Saturnine Prabhu) (90), son of the late Lucy and the late John Salvadore Miranda, husband of Juliet Prabhu, father of Asha Menezes, father-in-law of Arunlal Menezes, grandfather of Amor and Amber Menezes, brother of the late Alexander Miranda, Rudolph Miranda, Jessy D'Souza, the late Arthur Miranda and the late Dorothy Menezes, passed away in Mangalore on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 7:30 pm.

Mortal remains will be placed at St Francis Xavier church, Bejai, Mangalore at 4 pm on Sunday, May 22, 2011. Funeral mass to be held thereafter at St Francis Xavier church, Bejai, Mangalore on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at 4:30 pm.

I had visited my cousin Saturninebab (S S Prabhu) at “Ashirvad” in Bejai about 25 years ago and I sat down with him and we wrote most of the “Pakshikere Miranda Prabhu Genealogy” adding almost 1000 family members.

He was a great man and we will miss him.
