Fr Antony D'Souza (72), a priest of the diocese of Lucknow and former vicar general of the diocese passed away after a brief illness on Saturday March 12, 2011.
Funeral will be held after Mass at the Cathedral Church, Lucknow on Sunday March 13 at 3.00 pm and the mortal remains would be laid to rest at the Christian cemetery.
Born on June 5, 1939 to Maurice D' Souza and Catherine D'Mello of Punja Parish in Mangalore diocese, was ordained on December 21, 1965 for the diocese of Lucknow. He has served the diocese as a zealous missionary, educatonist and as the vicar general.
He is the nephew of late Bishop Raymond D'Mello and cousin of Fr Walter D'Mello, the parish priest of Milagres, Mangalore and elder brother of late Fr Boniface D'Souza, a priest of Mangalore diocese, who passed away on January 1, 2010 at Bajjody.
