Rev. Fr. Vincent Lobo OFM Cap.(99) passed away on Sunday December 26, 2010, Funeral on Monday December 27 at Kripalaya, Capuchin Philosophate, Bogadi, Mysore.

Fr. Vincent Lobo was the pioneer to establish the Secular Franciscan Order (SFO) in Mangalore Diocese. He was the spiritual director of SFO for many years. He was also the inspiration and the founding father to start the Assisi Press at Bejai. He was the first editor of the famous family magzine "Kutmacho Sevak" then called 'Franciscan Patr'.

We deeply mourn the sad demise of Rev. Fr. Vincent Lobo OFM Cap. May His soul Rest in Peace.

Fr. Vincent Lobo OFM Cap, was a very holy priest and the founder of Secular Franciscan Order (SFO)and the Prison Ministry in the Diocese of Mysore. He was very fond of the lepers and always made it a point to encourage SFO members to visit their colony and help them. Despite his ill health he was very punctual at SFO meetings as the Spiritual Director. May His Soul Rest in Peace.

I count myself among the fortunate young boys cared for and educated when Fr. Vincent started the Assisi House. Several encouraged and guided by him are priests today serve the Church in different parts of the world. I remember fondly and gratefully my days at Assisi House under the care of Fr. Vincent (Aab padryab)followed by other caring priests like Callistus (Archibald) and Eugene. May his soul rest in peace.

A legend and very helpful soul,always of forgiving nature who helped us to be desciplined in life. As young a boy in Assisi home I never understood his teachings but later on as a youngster I truly understood what he meant.Whenever I met him he always reminded me how naughty I was and laugh.May his soul rest in peace. Thank you dear Father for whatever you did for me .I will always be grateful to you .

In the month of August when We met him in Kripalaya he said he is strong and deffinitly complete 100 years on August 16th 2012. And we promised him that we will come and wish him on his 100th birthday.He remembered his olden days and also explained how bought land in Bogadi. He blessed us and gave pose for photograph.It is sad to know that AAb is no more now. May his soul rest in peace.

Very sorry to hear about the demise of Fr. Vincent Lobo!He is remebered for his tremendous contribution for the vacations in the Diocese of Mangalore specially capuchins. Great work. He is a well disciplinarian and helpful for the needy and the poor. He had great love for children and the youngsters. God may give him eternal rest in Heaven.

I was born very near to St Anns Friary and my childhood memories are full of joyous moments spent in the company of Brothers and Priests of this friary. There were so many good priests there, and Fr Vincent was affectionately called 'aab', looking after us, giving us so much love, teaching us, encouraging us. My bond with the friary has remained the same all these years as one of my brother too became a Capuchin, and both my sisters became Nuns.
He had blessed my 'Ed's Art' and for all his art requirements sketches and illustrations, book covers he used to use my services and pay me well too.
Today with a sad heart, I along with my family, my brothers and sisters extend our heartfelt condolences to the Capuchin Community. May his noble soul rest in peace.

Fr. Vincent Lobo Fondly called Aab by everyone is no more. His love for children is unforgettable.He is one of the pioneer to work in order to get so many thousands of candidates for the priesthood and he inspired so many people. Many years before he too guided me too to become more God fearing and dedicated man which I cannot forget, He is a great priest of dedication, simplicity and great encourgaement to youngsters to get into priesthood. We lost a pious and bold and devoted religous priest who gave his long life for the sake of spreading the good news of Kingdom of God. The loss of a priest with vision for God's kingdom.I am very very sad about his demise. My Hearfelt condolences to the Capuchin Priests. With prayers, May God grant him eternal rest in Heaven.
