Sr Giacomina Lobo (82), Sisters of Charity, Infant Mary's Convent, Jeppu, Mangalore passed away Friday, December 24, 2010.

Born to Casmir Lobo and Angelene Fernandes, she was a teacher by profession and taught in several schools in Dakshina Kannada and Kasaragod districts. Since 1973, she was engaged in house hold duties in the novitiate community. She joined the sisters of charity on March 25, 1950, after perusing teacher training course.

Mainly, She taught at holy family convent in Kumbla, Holy Angel Convent, Mangalore, Casa Gaia Belvedere, and Capitanio convent.

Funeral will be held at Infant Mary’s Convent on Sunday, December 26 at 10am.

I am the old student of Infant Mary's convent and school. Now i am working in Bangalore. I really thnakfull to Infant Mary's convent and all sisters. Always i am thinking about my childhood in infant marys convent. Thank you very much sisters because of you only i become a good girl and i am working in good company. Thank you once again.
