Louis Fernandes (85), husband of the late Bridget Fernandes, father of Lucy / Jockim Gonsalves, Valerian / Shanthi Lidia D’Sa (Doha, Qatar), Dulcin / the late Joseph D’Mello, Annie Fernandes / Ignatious D’Souza (Dubai), Shanthi / Nelson Coelho (Mysore), Tresa / Jerald Lobo (Dubai) and Vincent Fernandes / Nina Sequeira (Doha, Qatar), passed away due to long illness on Monday November 15, 2010.

Funeral cortege leaves residence “Ferns Villa”, Arashinakatte, Shankerpura (Pangla) for St John’s Church, Shankerpura (Pangla), at 3:15 pm on Thursday, November 18. Mass at 4:00 pm.

Dear all at Ferns Villa, Please accept my heartfelt Condolences on the demise of your dear father, who is also my very much loved God father.All these years, I always made a effort when i visit Mangalore for a short break to see him.I will miss him this time.We all are on a journey, some are short and some are long and we have to accept that when God calls we are prepared for it. My God father had a good long journey though early in life was a struggle for him and his family like every body else in Mangalore,But he was a disciplined,healthy,loving and God fearing man.30 years ago i lived with him in his small room in Danda-Bombay, where i learned a lot from him and seen how hard working he was. I pray God to grant him eternal rest. Thank you.
