Sr M Philomille BS (94), (Josephine Mary Carvalho), daughter of the late Xavier Carvalho and the late Regina Carvalho, sister of the late Rosario, the late Dennis, the late Stephen (Impha) & Veronica (Yennu), passed away on Saturday, August 14 at 4.30 am.

Funeral in St Raymond’s Convent Vamanjoor, Mangalore on Saturday, August 14 at 3.30 pm.

Sr M Philomille hails from Kundapur. She joined the Congregation of the Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany, Mangalore on 10.01.1934. She served as a teacher for many years and won the hearts of many students in places like, Bendur, Bajpe, Kinnigoly, Kulshekar, Gadenahally (Hassan), Taccode and Moodubelle. After her retirement, she spent her time in prayer at Gurpur, Basrur and Vamanjoor. A simple child like soul is flown to Heaven interceding for all of us. May her soul rest in peace!
