Cecilia D’Souza (105), living in the home for the aged, Little Sisters of the Poor, Bajjodi, Mangalore, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at 8.30 am.

Funeral Mass at 4.00 pm in Little Sisters of the poor, Bajjodi. Burial at Bendoor church cemetery.

Cecilia a spinster, had her roots in Bejai and served as a teacher in non-formal school. Though she remembered her elders, she could not recall her immediate kin. She was prayerful and always very cheerful with a welcoming smile. She loved to meet people, was interested in everything that happened and kept herself up to date. She prayed for all the institutions.

I am sad to read this piece of news now. She was a unique person and deserved all consideration. Those responsible at the Bajjodi home did well to care for her. May her soul Rest in Peace and ask God to Bless all!

May God bless Mama Cecila's soul and am sure she is sitting at the right hand of the Heavenly Father and will surely send her blessings to the living ones on earth. Am bit sadend for not paying a short visit to Home for the Aged during my last visit to Bajjodi my home which is just 100 meters away from my home. I am also proud to have Shanthi Kiran, Home For the Aged and Sandesha (karnataka Kalakendra) Catholic institutions very close to my built house. God bless these institutions too. I pray for Mama Cecilia's holy soul to RIP Amen.

It`s sad to hear passing away of Ms Cecilia D`Souza. May her soul find eternal salvation and rest in peace. By the way, what an achievement! - to live 105 years, a rarity - and hard to beat that record!
