Sr Viventia AC, Apostolic carmel Congregation, Jyothinagar, passed away on Wednesday April 21. She served as a teacher and headmistress in many Institutions of the Apostolic Carmel Congregation. Even after her retirement in 1984 she offered her service to the people of marginalized society in Gundolli, North Kanara.

From 1989 she again served the poor and the needy as a correspondent and headmistress for another 18 years in Jyothi Nagar village and lit the lives of many.

wonderful person. took care of me and my sisters at the convent in kndapur.in the 60's . cared for everyone with so much love and genuine giving, and made the world a better place for people around her .It was a pleasure to meet her in california a few years ago. I am sure a lot of people like me will be sad .

My deepest condlences to the AC congregation on the sad demise of beloved Sr. Viventia. She was my teacher in my primary school at Kundapur and she was a perfect teacher with discipline and moral values, ever cheerful, always of a helping nature to anyone. I met her last at Maryhill 3 years ago and found her as cheerful and active as 40 years before when she was my teacher. Her services will be cherished by all her students and people whom she has helped. May the Lord grant her eternal light and may her soul rest in peace as she has joined many of her sisters to praise the Lord in heaven. Gracy Fernandes & fly, Qatar.

Sr Viventia's good works live on as an undying testimony of her generous response to the Lord. May we, who had the good fortune of knowing her try to emulate her example at least in some small way! My sicere condolences to the sisters of the Apostolic Carmel.

A Great Soul, admired by many. A true follower of the teachings of Christ. I am not wrong if I name her the Mother Theresa of Mangalore. Those who knew her and the work she had done in the backward areas in the sburbs of Mangalore will agree with me. I will always remember her as kind & helping soul. God has taken her to enjoy her eternal reward. May her soul rest in peace. I am sure she will intercede on our behalf and on behalf of those who continue her mission in this world.
