Fr Joe L C Pinto (75), Kirem (Chaplain of Nirmala Convent, Badravathi), son of the late Sylvester Pinto & the late Bridget D'Silva, brother of the late John Pinto, and the late Leena Pinto, passed away on Wednesday February 17, 2010.

Funeral in Sacred Heart Cathedral, Shimoga on Thursday February 18 at 10.00 am.

Fr.Joe L.C.pinto was a gentle and a holy man.Inspite of his prolonged illness he was very active and energetic.He was the spiritual guide of many fathers,religious and the nursing students.He was a holy and a model priest.May his soul rest in peace.May the Almighty God pour his showers of blessings upon his beloved one's.

Recognised Fr. Pinto's face from the photograph. Fr. Joe Pinto was parish priest of St. Anthony's church in Belgaum. He was a family friend and a good friend of my late father Francis Pereira. One of the things I remember was that he used to give us lots of old copies of Reader's Digest (American Edition) magazines to read when we were kids. A nice and gentle human being. Sad to hear about his passing away. May God give him a permanent resting place in heaven and may he be in eternal peace with God. Pray that God gives his near and dear ones the strenth and courage to bear this loss.
