Fr Robert Pinto (63), son of the late Lawrence & Elizabeth Pinto (Kavoor, Bondel), brother of the late Alphonse / Mable, Lilly / the late Valerian, Florine / the late Aloysius, Charles / Prescilla and Marceline / John, passed away on Sunday October 11, 2009.
Mortal remains will be kept for paying Homage at St Lawrence Church, Bondel, Mangalore on Tuesday October 13 from 8.00 am onwards followed by Funeral Service Mass at 9.00 am.

Fr Pinto was born on September 14, 1946, to Lawrence Pinto and Elizabeth Saldanha in St Lawrence parish, Bondel, here. He was ordained a priest on May 3, 1976, at St Joseph’s Seminary, Jeppu.
Fr Pinto served as assistant parish priest at Most Holy Redeemer parish, Beltangady, assistant director of St Anthony’s Ashram, Jeppu, priest of various parishes at Karady – Vijayadka, Kalmady, Suratkal, and Miyapadav, manager of diocesan coffee estate at Mudigere–Bettadamane, and also rendered clergy service in the parishes of Bantwal, Kirem, Udyavar, and Kulur.
He was a disciplined and hard worker who was committed to ably discharging his responsibility. Fr Pinto never sought recognition though he worked diligently on the diocesan coffee estate.
The mortal remains of Fr Pinto will be first placed at the St Lawrence parish for public-viewing at 8.00 am on Tuesday October 13, followed by the Holy Mass and burial at the cemetery.
