Sister Simplicia (65), of the BS, daughter of the late Sevrine and the late John D’Souza, Kuntalpady Attur, Karkala, passed away on Monday August 17, 2009.

Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Kinnigoli on Tuesday, August 18 at 3.00 pm.

We deeply mourn at the demise of our dear Sr Simplicia. She was a spirit filled, an intercessor before the Blessed Sacrament like a lighted lamp praising and praying for the needs of the world. Her life of holiness was witnessed in her crucible of sufferings who bore patiently and lovingly, constantly doing God''s will in her life. She was a gift to Bethany and to the Church who added holiness through her life of prayer. We believe that we have a powerful intercessor in heaven. May God grant eternal bliss

We are sad to hear of the passing away of our dear sister Simplicia. We appreciate her selfless service when she was with us. We are grateful to God for giving us the person of Sr Simplicia. Sr Simplicia was a person of prayer and dedication. She was always cheerful not only when she was blessed with health but also during her ill health.The name Sr Simplicia suits her personality.May God grant her eternal rest. All of us will miss her. We pray God to help us emulate her qualities of deep love for the poor, simplicity and piety.
