Dr Dion Fernandes (81) (Mumbai), brother of Oscar Fernandes, former Union Minister, also brother of Clifford (+ Ivy - Sydney), the late Doris, the late Lola (+ the late George Vaz - Kolkata), the Late Lawrie (+ Marie Therese), Judy (+ the late Eric Sreshta, Tom(+ Prem), Sr Josina AC (Joyce), May (+ Walter D'Sa), Oscar ( +Blossom), Charlotte (+ the late Harry Gonsalves, Pune) and Mariette (+ Mark Fernandes, Sharjah) passed away on 15th August, 2009 at 5.20 pm

Funeral Mass at 3.45 at St Andrew'sChurch Bandra, Mumbai on Aug 16, 2009 followed by cremation at the Santa Cruz crematorium

I am shocked to learn that our dear Dion is no more. May God bless his soul, and let him rest in peace. The passing away of our dear Dion was not only publised in local papers but announced in Udupi church. He wa thorough gentlemen and best journalist . He was also very concerned not only his near and dear oes but also his cousins whomhe kept contact an communication. I was one of the fourtunate to have very close contact and communication till recently. He even visited me when he came to Udupi though he himself was not very well.

He even visited me when he came to Udupi though he himself was not very well. I extend my condolences to his brothers and sisters and all his relatives.
