Fr. Robert Sequeira SJ(85) passed away in Bhuvaneshwar, Orissa on 4th August.

Fr. Robert taught Chemistry at St. Aloysius College and St. Joseph's College, Bangalore. He also served as a Vice-Principal of St. Aloysius College for some years. He was well-known as a Sports Teacher. For the last 30 years, he worked as a missionary in Bhuvaneshwar, Orissa.

He was my chemistry teacher at st. Josephs Bhubaneswar. He was a wonderful teacher who made chemistry my most favorite subject. He had given me one of his own medal fr exceling in chemistry.Its a great treasure fr me . He ws soft spoken , spiritual trully and a loving person . I could feel God within him. I am indeed blessed to have been near such a great soul fr several years.
May his soul rest in peace. For me his passing away is a great loss which cant be filled up. I am late to condole his death as I was unaware for last one year.I pray to God to send us such a samaritan again.

It was with profound grief that we noted the sad & sudden death of our dear Fr. Robert.He had blessed our nuptials, baptised my daughter as he is my first cousin.He was a dedicated teacher & he loved his hockey.Today we can only offer our condolences & prayers to his brothers & sisters Gratian, Dora,flory,Tony, Mabel & Marie, May His soul rest in peace.

Fr Robert Sequeira SJ was indeed a great person, a committed Jesuit. I used to see him in two places quite often, chemistry lab and sports field, especially hockey. He was a great sportsman, and also a great support to sports. Hundreds of students will remember him for his simplicity, softness and spirituality. I remember the rainy days while in high school and whenever we were given the day off my friend and I would rush to Fr Sequeira''s room and play Monopoly with him. He was a very gentle and kind hearted soul, and also a good hockey player. We have today lost a holy and pious servant of God. May his sould rest in eternal peace.

A wonderful, soft spoken and holy priest. I remember his remarkable ability to referee hockey matches at St Aloysius grounds. A good sportsman, kept himself agile even after his retirement from teaching. My heartfelt condolences to the Jesuit Provincial and the Province of Karnataka. You have indeed lost a true man of God. Along with his many achievements Fr.Robert Sequeira was the Manager of the Mysore Hockey team when they participated in the State tournament in Mumbai. His godson Vinoo passed away on the same day in Mangalore. May their souls RIP.
