Funeral cortege leaves residence, ‘Benlu’, Highlands for Our Lady of Miracles Church, Milagres, Mangalore on Friday May 29 at 4.30 pm. Mass at 5.00 pm.

Dear Jovina and children, I just was with you in Mangalore last February 08 and everything was fine, making plans for our next stay. So I felt very sad when I heard of the sudden death of Brian. My uncle, Brian D’Souza’s death saddened me and left me with a great sense of loss. He was a wonderful, compassionate and caring person with a keen sense of humor. As kids we looked forward to visiting Mangalore and spending time with him. He would take us to the movies and entertain us with his jokes. It''s the little things that make up memories and I have an abundance of those. He taught us that you had to understand the world as it was, not as you wished it to be. He leaves behind a wonderful legacy for all of us, his nieces and nephews to emulate, of living a good and god fearing life. He was a loving husband and an adoring father and our thoughts and prayers are with my aunt Jovina and my cousins Michelle, Ian and Caroline. Death, in the final analysis is only going home and we take comfort in the fact that we will all be together someday. We will miss him greatly. A Niece

A tribute to a Gentleman. Brian D’souza was and remains a role model for me and many of my cousins. His ready wit and humor made it a pleasure to spend time with him. He had a kind, warm and caring personality. During my summer holidays I would long to spend time with him and his wonderful family. I remember while growing up he would take me with him to play billiards or take us out for a movie or a party. I remember our meals together and the stories he shared with me. I remember his joking nature and his booming laughter. I remember the sannas we would eat on Sunday’s and sweets he would bring for everyone. He shared with me knowledge on how to grow up to be a good man and loving husband and father. The love he shared with his family is what I hope to one day make a part of my own young family. It has come as a shock to me to hear of his passing. I will miss him terribly. My heart and prayers go out to his wife my Aunt Jovina and his children Michelle, Ian and Caroline. A Nephew.
