Rev Fr John Mudarth (89), priest of the Archdiocese of Bangalore, passed away on Saturday April 18, 2009.

Fr John Mudarth was born on 23-8-1919 at Balegundi, Dakshina Kannada. His parents were Joseph Mudartha D’Souza and Martina Aranha. After his school studies he joined St. Joseph’s Seminary, Jeppu Mangalore. Later he studied at St. Paul’s Seminary Tiruchi. He was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Bangalore on 25-3-1950. He served the following places in the Archdiocese.

Funeral Mass on on Sunday April 19 at 3.00 pm at Sacred Heart Church, Richmond Road. Interred at the Priests’ Cemetery, Bangalore. The mortal remains will be kept at Sacred Heart Church from 2 pm for the public to pay homage.
