Valerian Fernandes (57), son of the late Henry Fernandes and Annie Fernandes, son-in-law of eminent Konkani writer Gladys Rego, husband of Laveena Fernandes, father of Dimple Fernandes (ex-lecturer, St Aloysius College, Mangalore), Denzil and Darrel, died in a road accident on Sunday, August 17, 2008.

Funeral at Guardian Angel Church, Angelore, Mangalore on Monday August 18 at 3 pm.

Mr. Valerian Fernandes my neighbor in Red Building Lane, son of Late Henry Fernandes and late Aani Fernandes and son in law of Mrs. Gladys Rego, died at the age of 57. Very helpful guy in many respects. I had the chance to visit him after 20 years at Bajaal and was very happy to see his developments in1995. May his departed soul rest in peace. I convey my heartfelt condolences to all his near and dear ones.
