SADASHIVA SALIAN (60), senior football player and member of Karnataka Sporting Association, passed away in Mumbai on September 11, following prolonged illness.

While being employed with the State Bank of India, he had represented the bank and also the Maharashtra state. He also played from Mumbai university. He had also served as referee in national-level meets.

Originally hailing from Mundkur-Kaje, he had settled in Goregaon, Mumbai. He leaves behind wife, a son and a daughter.
