Sr Mary Rosetta AC of Jesus and Mary (nee Nelly Noronha) (86), belonging to the Sister of the Apostolic Carmel Congregation, daughter of the late Michael Noronha and the late Alice Britto (Kembar, Kulshekar), sister of the Late Stany Noronha, the late Vincent Noronha, Victor and John Noronha, passed away on May 5, 2025.

Mortal remains will be laid for public viewing in Annunciation Convent Chapel, Ladyhill, Urwa, Mangalore on Tuesday May 6 from 1.00 pm onwards. Funeral Mass at 4.00 pm, followed by burial service at the Convent cemetery.

Sr Rosetta has rendered her dedicated services at Vijaymari Convent and Technical Institute; Provincial House, St Ann's Convent; St Cecily’s Convent, Udupi; Carmel Convent, Nesargi, Belgaum; St Maria Goretti Convent, Kemmannu; Presentation Convent, Maryhill; St Mary's Convent, Falnir and Annunciation Convent, Ladyhill.

We are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Sr. Rosetta A.C. We had the privilege of knowing her personally during her time at Vijayamari. She was a kind-hearted and gentle soul who served with love, grace, and a warm, ever-present smile. Her compassionate presence touched the lives of many. Our heartfelt condolences to her beloved family members and the Apostolic Carmel Sisters. May the Lord grant her eternal rest and may her soul find peace in His loving embrace. – Aloysius
