Juliana Catherine D'Costa (85), wife of the late Jeorge D'Costa, mother of Jacintha / Wilson, Francis / Rekha, grandmother of Jason / Tina, Jasmine / Santhosh and Ryan, passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022.

Mortal remains will be brought to Infant Mary Church, Bajjodi, Mangalore on Tuesday, February 22 at 3.00 pm, followed by Mass at 3.30 pm. Burial will be held at St Sebastian Church cemetery, Bendore, Mangalore.

Covid protocols to be followed strictly.

Funeral service will be live streamed on Daijiworld.com

Dear Francis/Rekha, Jacintha/Wilson, Jason/Tina, Jasmine/Santhosh & Ryan, it is indeed sad to note that Jillibai is no more with us. But the greatest consolation is that she has lived her life to the fullest. Worked hard to raise a good family and took good care of her grand children too. She ws a gentle humble, loving and caring person, always joyful and contended. We will always remember the happy times we spent together in Dubai.

My lasting memories of Jilly Bai are of her genuine smile that crinkled her eyes and of the kindness she gave me and my family and mysef for the few years we were privileged to have her in our lives. The last time I belive we visited Jilly Bai was in 2015, though I think of her often. I am pleased that she was able to meet me at least then as an adult that she had a large role in shaping, as well as meeting my wife. To her children and their families: please know that Jilly Bai's memory is preserved in the kindness and joy she gave to everyone whom she met. I send my love and best wishes to you all.
