Felix Philip D'Souza (98), husband of the late Pauline Pinto, Neerude, father of Gabriel/Rita D’Souza (Neerude), Fr Andrew Leo D'Souza (parish priest, St Lawrence Church, Bondel, Mangalore), Ronald/Leena D’Souza (Neerude), Emilda/Clarence Pinto (Mumbai), Joachim/Lavina D’Souza (Kulshekar) and Godwin/Shalini D’Souza (Kinnigoly), grandfather of Caren, Roshal, Rahul, Joel, Lionel, Janessa & Glenston, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022.

Funeral cortege leaves residence at 3pm on Thursday, February 17 for St Roque Church, Neerude, followed by Mass at 3.30 pm.

I had a passing tryst with him when our Bondel Parish Priest, Fr. Andrew, occasionally drove his father around Mangalore. He was very alert. I had requested Fr. Andrew for an interview with him at his home for publication in the Bondel parish monthly, Bondlchem Bonder, and we were in the process of working out the details for an interview at his residence. But, things turned out differently. We have to submit to the will of God and thank the Lord for giving him long years of alert and active mind and body. May the Lord give him his well-deserved rest and may his family and friends be consoled to bear their loss.
