Fr Eddie Edward D’Mello (86), SVD, son of the late Marian D’Mello and the late Sabina D’Mello, Belman, brother of the late Faustine, Manuel, Philip, the late Helen and Jenny, passed away on Thursday November 25, 2021.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 26 at 4.00 pm, in Sacred Heart Church, Mahakali Caves Road, near Gyan Ashram, Andheri East, Mumbai.

Fr Eddie served in Holy Spirit Hospital, Indore, Palda, Rector, SVD Seminary – Pune, and also rendered his service in Australia Mission.

Dear members of the family and the Society of the Divine Word: I am very sad to hear about the passing of Fr. Eddie D' Mello, SVD. Fr. Eddie was a nice man, a great missionary and a holy priest. He played a big role in early part of my life and imbibed in me the best human values. I will be ever grateful to him for who I am today. While his health was good, he made it a point to send me Christmas and New Year Greetings every holiday season. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and the members of the Society of the Divine Word in these difficult times. May you all have the strength to bear this loss and may his soul rest in peace.
