Funeral is tentatively scheduled for Sunday, October 17 at 4:30 pm in St Michael the Archangel Church, Manickpur, Vasai Road West, Maharastra.

Mohan and I are greatly saddened by the demise of Mohan's sister Dorothy (Dora) Sequeira, the youngest daughter of his parents Athanasius Peter Castelino and Lucy Castelino (Misquith). It is particularly hard for the only surviving brother 9 years older than Dora to learn of her passing away so soon after two of his brothers passed away. May the Almighty Lord grant Dora eternal rest in His heavenly abode. Rest in peace my dear sister. Our sincere condolences to her sons and daughters, Rohan/Monica, Venetia/Alec (Pereira), Lyndon, Lovita/Vince, and Noel/Lena, their children as well as to Dora's surviving sisters, Sr. Grace Castelino (RGS, Good Sh[herd Convent, Bengaluru. Dora was my father's cousin. I met her many years ago along with her sister Rosie in Croydon. She was a lovely lady and always had a smile for everyone. She was a good mother to all her children. She was kind and loving to everyone and was very supportive to her children and grandchildren. My Heartfelt condolences to her sisters and brother and the bereaved family members. I used to come to her house for lunch from St Agnes during my college days, her hospitality was commendable, made me so at home. Dear Rohan, Lyndon, Venetia, Lovita, Noel and your families. As you mourn the passing of your mum, my dear Aunty Dora, I pray for God’s light to brighten your days and his love to lift your spirits. I know your dear mum will forever be ingrained in your hearts and memories. I was lucky to have had many interactions with Aunty Dora in my growing up days although I did not see her much as I grew older. Aunty Dora led a beautiful life. A beautiful life does not just happen on its own. It is a life lived to the full of ups and downs, love and laughter, sadness and tears. And I was thrown in the mix of her fair share of experiences. Aunty Dora has influenced me in many positive ways, particularly with her kindness towards some of my obnoxious ways. I shall always cherish many beautiful memories of her in my heart and I am grateful for those interactions. My prayer today is of thanks for Aunty Dora’s presence in our lives and to ask the dear Lord to hold her close in his loving embrace. I pray God gives you my dear cousins strength to look beyond the tears of sorrow and pain, and to remember her love, her warm hugs, her loving touch, her smiling face and her gentle and kind ways.
