Benedicta D'Souza (Benny Teacher), wife of the late George D'Souza, mother of Rachel, Glen and Jason, mother-in-law of Steve, Dr Smriti and Sabrina, grandmother of Kyra, Maximus and Zayn, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021.

Funeral rites will be held in Dubai, UAE. Further details are not yet finalised and will be notified shortly.

As often believed in the Indian traditional stories, those who go before us become stars and watch us from above. Benny teacher is that star, who is watching her family and friends from above. Benny teacher has left a great impression in many of our hearts. Being a multi-talented person, she has written several hymns and sung in many of her CDs. She has many other Konkani literature for her credit. She had the ability to win hearts, bring people together… She knew what mattered most. When I met Benny teacher two years ago for the last time, she had a great contentment of mission completed on her face and in her talk. She will be remembered lovingly for a long time to come. She lives in our memories and in our hearts, for her goodness to all. Heartfelt condolences to Rachel, Glen, Jason and the family members.

Benny Teacher had composed several beautiful hymns and brought out them in CD's. Few years back Benna Ruzai (Benar Kala Kutam) had staged her play 'Mother Theresa' which was apprecited by one all. She had conucted Bible Quiz in Raknno weekly for many years. Bennybai was very simple,humble and kind hearted person who had extended her helping hand to the needy and the down trodden.
