Sr Maria Nunciata AC (89), nee Isabella Tauro, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Annunciation Convent, Ladyhill, Mangalore.
She belongs to the Congregation of the Apostolic Carmel, Karnataka Province and was a great educationist, heading a number of schools belonging to the Apostolic Carmel. She has rendered her dedicated services at Madonna Convent, Kasargod; St Mary’s Convent, Marjil; Seva Ashram, Pavur; Shanthi Nilaya, Nanjangud; St. Cecily’s Convent, Udupi; St. Joseph’s Convent, Mysore; Carmel Convent, Ashanikethan; St Agnes Convent, Udupi; Carmel Convent, Moodbidri; Carmel Convent, Modankap; Yesu Kripa, Shimoga; Mary Immaculate Convent, Bangalore; St Maria Goretti Convent, Kemmannu. Since 2011, she was at Ladyhill Convent, Mangalore.
She hails from Kinnikambla, Gurpur and is the daughter of the late Francis Tauro and the late Catherine Pinto.
Funeral rites will be held on Wednesday, June 9 at 4.30 pm.at Ladyhill Convent Mangalore
