Benedicta Moras (86), wife of the late Alphonsus Moras, mother of Annie, William, Cyril, Linette, Stella, Aurel, Louis, Clarence, Vincent, Pramila, Sheela and the late Stephen Moras, passed away on May 21, 2021.

Mortal remains will be brought to St Joseph's Church, Bajpe on Saturday, May 22 at 4 pm. Due to Covid restrictions, the family has requested all to stay at home and pray for her soul.

Benedicta family lived in a valley just behind the Bajpe Junior College. There are many Moras families around. We know Bennybai ever since she married late Alphonso Moras. They were actively involved in agriculture operations growing paddy, vegetables besides dairy farming. She was very hard working and helped her husband in supporting their large family. She was simple, affectionate and helpful. She along with her late husband raised their children and gave each of them good education and a good future. Moras family in the area was well known in the treatment of jaundice patients. Patients used to come as far as Bombay and other places for treatment. After the death of her husband she continued the good tradition. She lived a true Christian life. It is unfortunate that we can not attend her funeral due to the prevailing situation. We pray for her soul. May God grant her eternal peace.
