My dearest Abiyo , I remember as a child how you would loving call me every weekend asking me what I wanted from Mangalore when I would come on vacation . You would always make sure to save the best of mangoes and my favorite malpuri for Jonathan and myself and there would always be a spark in your eyes every time you watched us, brimming with love. Every time Jonathan and I would go to stay at mum's house from the airport with our maternal Grandparents , you would be too excited to wait for us to come home that you would come all the way there just to see the two of us . Its been nothing but a pleasure knowing you , and thank you for making every holiday memorable , thank you for being there for me and for your constant prayers and tremendous support all throughout my life. Abba, my favourite thing about you was your cheeky laugh when anyone cracked a joke or teased Nanna in front of you. I will miss hearing it so much. Our conversations always revolved around the latest meal that Nanna had cooked for you and I remember you enjoying your walks around the compound. I was so fortunate that you were able to fly over for my wedding and that Sherwin got to meet you in person. We're so lucky that you spoke to your great grand-daughters Elise and Zoe and saw photos and videos of them.
