Fr Thomas D'Souza (73), (presently Bhalki mission) in Gulbarga diocese for the past 25 years, passed away on April 12, 2021.

Born on 25.7.1947, he was ordained priest for Mangalore diocese on 12.5.1973. He had volunteered to serve Gulbarga diocese in 1997 and served as a missionary till the last. For 22 years, he served in Gulbarga diocese.

Funeral in Holy Redeemer Church, Bhalki on Tuesday, April 13 at 5.00 pm.

Fr. Thomas D'Souza was our Kalathur parish priest for 2 years when I was small. He was very kind hearted person used to come our home regularly to give the holy communion to my grand parents. Very simple person devoted his life for Christ. May the risen Lord grant him eternal rest.

Fr Thomas D'Souza was our Parish Priest for 5 years from 1992 to 1997. He was very simple and lived his life of Christ.He considered every one in the parish as his sheep and showed the way to live the Values of Christ. For him there was no one in the parish rich and poor. He considered every one as equal before God. Really the diocese of Gulbarga was fortunate to have him as a missionary at Balki mission. Now he is no more but his values in life will enable others to follow Christ. Thank you Fr Thomas for encouragement and moral support during my formative years and especially when I lost my parents ,you did stand by me with your moral support. I must place in record for bringing change in the attitude and approach among the bellore church community. May your soul rest in peace.
