Benedict Tauro (77), retired vice principal of St Mary's Junior Collge, Shirva and well-known as Tauro Master, husband of Lily Tauro (teacher), father of Renny (+ Robert Nazareth), Wesly (+ Lorna Tauro), Conrad (+ Maria Tauro), Dr Arnold (+ Dr Veena), Merlyn (+ Aloysius D'Souza) and Dr Allen (+ Candida), grandfather of Reynold, Rovin, Wenola, Conrial, Aldrin, Valerie, Ashlyn, Ashton, Ashwell, Alissa and Aiden, passed away on Monday, September 18.
Funeral service will be held at Our Lady of Health Church Shirva at 10.30 am on Tuesday September 19.

Benedict Tauro (Tauro Master) was a very popular person in Shirva and surrounding areas. He had rendered yeoman’s'service as a teacher at St Mary's Junior College. He was also the vice-principal of the college when Fr L Mendonca was the principal.
He was active member of various organizations and was also the editor of "Saud Sandesh". He was the coordinator of St Vincent Paul Society which extends its help to poor and needy. His students who are spread across the world would always remember his polite nature. His 6 children have acquired professional education and have excelled in their fields.
His wife Lilly Tauro is a retired headmistress of Don Bosco High School.
