Whats the difference in time if train stops at main stations like Mlore, Kundapur for 5 mins
Kundapur is the second largest town in Udipi Dt.Thousands of Kundapurians are staying in Bangalore. The KARWAR-BANGALORE TRAIN should stop at Kundapur.The M.Ps from Udipi and Mangalore should strive for it.
I dont find much difference anyways..Its gonna be helpful for North Canara people which is good...I still prefer buses as we have convenient options :)
First of all Congratulation for North Kannadians. The new timings r uncomfortable for manglorians. The Train to be made Super-Fast, so that the previous scheduled timings (ie 8.40/7.30)can be maintained as it is. The other option is to introduce a new day train from manglore cental. But that is impossible one. Because unfortunately we r in Karnataka Not in a KERALA or TAMIL NADU!!!.People should demand for a new train.
I'd suggest the Karwar - B'lore train also skip Mangalore Junction (Kankanady) station since there is already a train from Mangalore Central to Bangalore via Mysore. This can also save time required for entry and exit from Kankanady. Instead arrangements be made for stops at Surathkal, Thokur and Farangipet where I believe passengers from Mangalore can board the train without much difficulty.
Satisfactory…. subsequently I am expecting and pray to god for passing the traine trough karkala …….is it possible? Those who reasonable need to activate ASAP………
Good News for Udupi and Uttar Kannada Districts. Train to be made Super-Fast and to be made on Daily basis and to be extended up tp Goa. Night Train is to be extended up to Goa. This Train is more convinient that Day Train. At last something is better than nothing.....
It is high time that an underpass should be constructed at padil-bajal road. We, the residents of this area, are already fed up of the irregular railway gate timings. Railway gate is a nightmare while going to offices and schools since we do not understand when the gates are closed and once closed minimum of 15 to 30 minutes wait is required. This has forced many residents of this area to leave the own houses vacant and move towards central city area paying hefty amount as house rent.
Now the problem has increased since number of trains running through kankanady railway station are increasing. It looks so funny that in Mangalore, the land of intelligents, educates, people are put to face such a helpless situations. It is a mistery why the concerned officials are not heeding to the request/prayer of these more than 1000 houses. We beg you, please construct an underpass immediately and relieve us of the pains and extra expenditures on house rent, conveyance, maintenance etc. Thanking you in anticipation.

good for udupi people! please convert this train into super fast train. atleast reach bangalore by 8pm. Please convert this into superfast train after reaching sakaleshpur. I mean stop at only sakaleshpur, hassan then directly bangalore. That reduces time required for travel. Thanks.
Good move by Indian railways.We, the people from Udupi district and surrounding regions all the way up to Karwar too,demand a train from our source to Bangalore destination. It is enough if one train from bangalore has the final stop at mangalore central, to unload passengers in mangalore, but because of heavy demand from udupi and surrounding districts, it makes us also inconvenient to get off at mangalore central, and then catch an express bus all the way to bhatkal and beyond. It therefore, makes perfect sense, to have the train stop at kankanady only, and then proceed onwards towards bhatkal, karwar and beyond. If autowallahs are charging exhorbitant rates at mangalore kankanady stop, then you have to take that issue with their union, or with some other civic authority, and this has nothing to do with indian railways.
