Children's Day Special: Daijiworld Weekly to Host Drawing Contest for Kids

Mangalore, Oct 1: To celebrate Children's Day in a special way, Daijiworld Weekly has announced the annual drawing contest for school children from across Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts.

Three entries from each school in each category shall be accepted. The entries must be original works of the students. 

Prizes worth Rs 10,000, including all categories, will be awared to the winners.

Categories, themes and prizes are as below:

Category 1 (Junior) Class 5 – 7
Theme: My Garden
First prize : Rs 1000
Second prize: Rs 750
Third prize: Rs  500
 
Category 2 (Senior) Class 8 – 10
Theme: Colours of life
First prize: Rs  2000
Second prize: Rs 1000
Third prize: Rs 750

Apart from these, there will also be eight consolation prizes of Rs 500 each

The names of winners will be announced in both daijiword.com and Daijiworld Weekly (November 5 issue) and the winning entries will be published in the Children’s Day special edition of Daijiworld Weekly (November 12 issue). 

Last date to receive entries is October 20, 2010.

The drawings along with the prescribed entry forms attested by the school management may be submitted personally or sent by post to Daijiworld offices at Bendorewell (Divya Deepa Arcade) or Kankanady (Emporium Complex).

    It is great to see these kind of competitions bring out the talents of children and i wish u good luck it would be nice if u could conduct these competitions in chennai as well

    This is good for the childrens whoever want to show thier own tallent to public ,this kind of program encourages childrens to come front.
