Mangalore: World Konkani Centre Announces Fellowship Programme

Mangalore, Aug 27: World Institute of Konkani Language (Research and Studies), World Konkani Centre has announced the Fellowship programme for the year 2010-2011.

Applications in prescribed forms are invited to undertake research work in the areas of Konkani language, literature, culture, folk, history and so on.

The Fellowships are awarded in the following categories:

1. Minor research project fellowship: Rs. 5,000 per month.
2. Junior research fellowship: Rs. 6,000- per month
3. Senior research fellowship: Rs. 8,000- per month.

The eligibility criteria are Graduation for minor research project fellowship, MA and MA PhD for Junior and senior research fellowships respectively. Last date for submission of detailed applications is September 30.

    New challenge to do more research in the area of Konkani Culture .I am very much interested on various aspects of konkani speaking people their life style, contribution for culture .Their existence for national heritage and contributions to keep the heritage by adopting various cultural views in the day today life.
