Panaji: Cops seize ganja worth Rs 2.1 lac, one arrested

Panaji, Jan 14: In a narcotic raid conducted, the Mapusa police arrested Shubham Chowgule, a resident of Sakhali and seized about 2.1 kg of ganja worth nearly Rs 2.1 lac.

Mapusa police inspector Tushar Lotlikar said that the suspect alighted from a bus at Karaswada at around 1.50 pm on Monday January 11. When they conducted the raid, Subham was caught with possession of the narcotic substance.

The Mapusa police is conducting further investigation under the supervision of the Mapusa police inspector. The investigation is headed by police sub-inspector Ashish Paraber.
