Udupi, Oct 17: The deputy commissioner, G Jagadeesha got a government bus conductor and bus passengers fined for not wearing face masks.

The deputy commissioner was coming out after taking part in the programme of awareness on Covid-19 held at the district court premises on Saturday. He pasted a sticker about COVID awareness to a house in a residential complex nearby and was crossing the road when he saw a government bus conductor sitting in front of the bus without wearing a face mask. He got the bus stopped immediately and asked the police officials at the place to impose a fine on the conductor.

As he also found a few bus passengers without masks, he asked the police personnel to impose fine on them too. He confronted the conductor for not wearing the mask and not asking the passengers to wear them.
